Jill Bernard

Education Director

Jill is a nationally recognized improvisational theater performer and instructor. She began her career in 1993 with ComedySportz-Twin Cities, and was on the ComedySportz world championship team in 2004 and 2009. She has taught and performed in over 40 improv festivals in the US and Canada. Her scripted and specialized performance experience includes the Scrimshaw Brothers' of “Look Ma, No Pants” (1999 - 2003), the Second City Training Center's DeMatt Showcase ensemble "StoryBox," (2003 - 2004) and her acclaimed solo show “Drum Machine” which has garnered her several honors including Best Solo Improv at the Miami Improv Festival. Jill has earned a Bachelor of Arts in Theater from the University of Minnesota (1998) and has studied at the Annoyance Theater, iO Theater, and the Brave New Workshop.

Jill is responsible for assisting with artistic direction and artist recruitment for productions and managing the educational arm of HUGE.

The HUGE Improv Theater is an artist-led company dedicated to supporting the Twin Cities improv community through performance and education.

HUGE is currently fundraising to maintain our theater dedicated to longform improv and unscripted theater of all types.
